Beijing is a city of ancient history and amazing cultural depth! This necklace features a pendant made from a piece of old Chinese pottery, that has been recovered by archaeologists, and made into art! The pendant is a geometric symbol with Chinese characters written inside. The pink of the central shape matches the stone beads beautifully. It contrasts nicely with the turquoise background of the pendant. Strung on the necklace itself are big pieces of gorgeous Rhodonite in pink and black tones, mixed with bright white freshwater "potato" pearls. This necklace has bold presence and unique artistic and archaeological history. Necklace is an adjustable length, with silver-plated brass chain, and silver-plated clasp. There is a Cat's Eye glass dog charm in white at the end of the chain, to finish off the look, by dangling down the back. The necklace measures just over 19.75" from tip-to-tip, including clasp and finish charm, but offers an adjustable length (the circles of the chain, which can be clasped according to desired style). This necklace was handmade, specially for Brookline, by a local artisan.
