Anna May Wong is the first Chinese-American movie star! Wong is celebrated with Mae West and 2 other actresses as the "Four Ladies of Hollywood" along the Walk of Fame. Similar to the cameos of yore, the pendant of this necklace features the bust of a Chinese woman in traditional dress. The pendant is made from a piece of old Chinese pottery, that has been recovered by archaeologists, and made into art! Strung on the necklace itself are big pieces of gorgeous Rhodonite in pink and black tones, mixed with bright white freshwater "potato" pearls. This necklace has bold presence and unique artistic and archaeological history. Necklace is an adjustable length, with silver-plated brass chain, and silver-plated clasp. There is a handmade aqua-green and gold tassel at the end of the chain, to finish off the look, by dangling down the back. The necklace measures just over 19.5" from tip-to-tip, including clasp and tassel, but offers an adjustable length (the circles of the chain, which can be clasped according to desired style). This necklace was handmade, specially for Brookline, by a local artisan.
